Description
This is a small house on Church Street, Brill, dating from the 17th century, although significantly rebuilt in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The house is built of brick with a tiled roof. A 17th-century external chimney stack of thin brick is located on the left side. The house has one storey and an attic, with two bays. The ground floor has three-light wooden casement windows with single horizontal glazing bars. The attic has paired, barred wooden casements set within gabled dormers that have decorative bargeboards along the eaves. A central door is flush-panelled and top-lit. All ground floor window openings have segmental heads, with a segmental line of blue headers above. A lean-to addition is present at the left end, and a later parallel range extends to the rear. The building is included on the list for its group value, contributing to the character of the surrounding area.
