Description
College Farm House is a house dating from the 16th to early 17th century, with alterations made in the late 17th to early 18th century. The right bay features a timber frame with whitewashed thin brick infill and a blackened brick plinth, while the left bay is constructed of whitewashed thin brick and includes a first floor band course. The building has an old tile roof and a central square chimney made of thin brick with panelled sides and a rendered base. It stands two storeys high with an attic and consists of two bays.
The house has 20th-century three-light leaded casements, with the ground floor window of the left bay set in an altered opening featuring a segmental head. The central door is framed by a 16th to 17th-century ovolo moulded frame and has a 20th-century gabled hood above it. The left gable displays shaped jowls of the main posts and has a slight central projection with paired 20th-century leaded casements on all floors. There is also a 20th-century lean-to at the rear.
