Description
This is a house, likely dating to the early 17th century, with later additions from the 17th century. The original two bays on the right were built first, with further bays added to the left. The house is timber-framed with brick and plaster infill, with the brickwork on the ground floor largely rebuilt. It has an old tile roof, which is half-hipped on the left side. A 19th- or 20th-century brick chimney is located between the left bays, and a rebuilt 17th-century chimney with grouped shafts of thin brick sits between the right bays. A whitewashed rubblestone projection houses an oven under the right bays. The house is two storeys high, with four bays, the rightmost bay being gabled and projecting. It has paired, barred wooden casement windows. A 20th-century half-timbered wing serves as the rear entrance. The interior reveals curved and wind braces. A ground-floor room in the cross wing features cross beams and stop-chamfered spine beams with run-out stops.
