Description
This is a pair of small houses, originally three, dating from the mid-19th century, with a later 19th- to 20th-century extension to the right. The earlier part of the building is constructed of chequer brick with pale vitreous headers, and the upper storey features concentric blue diaper patterns in the centre. It has an old tile roof and brick chimneys. The houses are two storeys high and have two bays. The first floor has paired barred wooden casements; a similar 20th-century casement is on the ground floor to the left, and a 20th-century cross casement to the right. There are two central doors, the right one being half-glazed, and the left one is sheltered by a 20th-century timber porch with a hipped roof. The ground floor openings have cambered heads. The extension to the right, built of red brick with a tiled roof, is two storeys high and one bay wide, featuring a three-light wooden casement and a half-glazed door on the left. The buildings are included in the listing for their group value.
