Description

This is a timber-framed building range dating from the 17th century or earlier, with later alterations and additions. The ground floor is brick, with painted plaster infill above. The roof is tiled, with a higher section at the west end and a cross gable at the east. A large chimney with tiled offsets projects from the west end. The building has three unequal gables facing the street. The upper floor features three two-light Yorkshire casement windows with bars. The ground floor has three modern shop bow windows and two glazed doors. The south gable showcases exposed timber framing. The rear elevation has two gables and timber framing with plaster infill. A large rear wing, also timber-framed with plaster infill, has modern windows and a tiled roof. A modern wing, built to imitate timber framing, is attached and runs parallel to the main block.
