Description

The Winslow War Memorial is a Grade II listed structure, unveiled in 1920. It is made of Mansfield stone and features a Gothic cross atop an octagonal column and plinth, all resting on a three-stepped base, standing approximately 12 feet high.

On the plinth, there is a panel that reads: "TO THE GLORY OF GOD/ AND IN MEMORY OF THE MEN/ OF WINSLOW WHO GAVE THEIR/ LIVES IN TWO WORLD WARS/ 1914-1918," which lists the names of 50 individuals who fell during the First World War, followed by "1939-1945" and the names of 13 individuals from the Second World War.

Beneath this, a smaller panel states: "AND IN THE CAMPAIGNS/ 1951 MALAYSIA," followed by a single name, and "1982 FALKLANDS," also followed by a single name.
