Description
Susan's Cottage consists of two small houses, with No. 30 being a 17th-century L-plan house that has been altered and extended in the 20th century. Attached to the right is an early to mid-19th-century house. The 17th-century section features timber framing with brick infill, and part of it was rebuilt in brick during the 19th century. It has an old tiled roof and brick chimneys located on the right side of the rear wing and the left side of the front projection. The building is two storeys high with two bays. The right bay is gabled and projects forward, featuring 20th-century three-light barred wooden casements and an additional single light window to the upper left. The left bay is obscured by a 20th-century single-storey garage extension.
No. 28 is constructed of brick with dentil eaves and a steeply pitched tiled roof, complemented by a brick chimney on the left side. This house is also two storeys high, with one and a half bays. The right bay has 20th-century paired barred wooden casements and a boarded door to the right, with all openings featuring segmental heads. The half-bay to the left has a small paired leaded casement above the door to No. 30. There are extensions to the rear of the building.
