Description

  1. 5132 LONG CRENDON THE SQUARE (south side)

  1. Medieval C17 and C18. Two storeys rubble stone, thatch. Two ledged doors and three 3-light casements to ground floor and three 3-light upper casements, the centre one carried into thatch. Right hand gable cemented above. One storey lean-to shed with cruck frame visible above. Rear wall rendered, probably over timber-framing. Small rear wing of stone and witchert. Interior has 3 cruck trusses rising to apex with yokes supporting ridge purlin. Large stack at west end.
