Description

Number 1 is an early 19th-century building located on the east side of Thame Road in Long Crendon. It is two storeys high and constructed of brick, featuring a hipped slate roof with projecting eaves. The front has three bays, with a central four-panel door that has a radiating fanlight, set within a later open wooden porch that has an ogee roof supported by Ionic columns and trellis sides. The building includes sash windows with thin glazing bars and slightly cambered gauged brick arches.

On the flank elevation facing High Street, there is a similar window, while the left flank of the rear block is made of red and yellow chequer brick and also has a hipped old tiled roof. This section features a door on the right with a flat hood, a narrow window above, and one sash window on each floor to the left, all with cambered arches. The front boundary is adorned with good spearhead railings.

To the south-west, there is an outbuilding made of stone and brick, topped with a tiled roof and a weather vane. This outbuilding is connected to the main building by a brick carriage arch that leads to a high stone wall with brick coping along the Thame Road frontage.
