Description

Woollerton House, located on the south side of Wendover High Street, is a building that serves as offices and features an 18th-century refronting of an earlier structure. It is constructed of red brick with an old tile roof and has a brick chimney with a corbelled head. The building has a parapet adorned with a cornice band of brick in a triangular arcaded pattern. It stands two stories tall and has seven bays of barred sash windows. The entrance, located in the third bay from the left, features a six-panel door with an architrave and a large wooden doorcase that includes fluted Doric pilasters, an entablature with a triglyph frieze, a modillion cornice, and a pediment.

Inside, the left-hand ground floor room contains an 18th-century moulded timber chimneypiece, flanked by semicircular-headed cupboards and a moulded chair rail. The right-hand room features a modillion cornice. Attached to the right side of the house is a short length of brick wall, about 2 meters high, built in English bond, which connects to a pair of 18th-century brick gatepiers. These gatepiers are designed with rusticated blocks, stone cappings, and projecting pilasters on their inner faces.
