Description
Gardner's Cottage is a 18th-century building that incorporates 17th-century windows. It is constructed of brick and features an old tiled roof with a central brick chimney. The cottage is two stories high and has three bays. The central entrance consists of a flush panelled door set in a heavy frame, topped with a flat brick arch and a stone hood. Above the door is a blank panelled recess. On both floors, there are two-light stone mullioned windows in a 17th-century style, with the ground floor windows slightly moulded. The leaded glazing includes diamond panes on the first floor and rectangular panes on the ground floor. There are modern casements in both gables on the first floor, as well as a two-light leaded attic casement on the left-hand gable.
