Description

The statue of Frederick Prince of Wales, erected in 1757, is a lead equestrian figure created by John Cheere. It stands on a high rectangular base with rounded ends, made of squared rubble stone. The base features a moulded cornice and plinth, which is inscribed with the following text: "Frederick Prince of Wales, Eldest son of George II born 1707 Died 1757 Erected 1757." The statue is located to the southwest of Hartwell House.
