Description

Anderdons Farmhouse is a house dating from the mid to late 18th century, with alterations made in the early 19th century. It is constructed of red and vitreous brick, featuring a first floor band course and a projecting plinth, while the front is completely rendered. The building has a hipped tile roof and brick chimneys, standing two storeys high with an attic. The front has five bays, which include renewed three-pane sash windows. The fourth bay contains a flush-panelled door with a semi-circular radiating fanlight and boarded jamb reveals. There are flanking outbuildings with brick walls and tiled roofs that were built at a later date. The rear of the farmhouse has irregular wooden casements, some of which retain original segmental heads, along with other altered openings, including one with a boarded door. The house also features three gabled dormers. In front of the left bays, there is an early 19th century gabled projection made of chequered flint and clunch, which is one storey high with an attic and has boarded doors.
