Description
This is a mid-18th century house located in Longwick-cum-Ilmer. The front facade is constructed of chequer brick, with a plinth, a band course marking the first floor, and offset eaves. The rear is of English bond brick. The roof is covered with old tiles, and there is a brick chimney between the right bays. The house is two storeys and an attic, with three main bays. Most windows are 3-light casements with wooden glazing bars, although the first floor window on the right is metal-framed. The left bay on the ground floor is irregular, with a 2-light casement and a 20th-century 3-light casement. A 6-panel door is situated between the left bays, sheltered by a large 20th-century wooden hood. All ground floor window openings feature chequered segmental brick heads. Two gabled dormers are present in the centre, each with 20th-century paired wooden casements. A 20th-century brick lean-to has been added to the left side of the building.
