Description

Street Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the early to mid 17th century, with some alterations made in the early 19th century. It is constructed of red brick, with the 17th-century walling featuring an irregular English bond and a moulded band at the first floor. The front elevation has been painted, and the 17th-century walling includes parapet gables with kneelers and moulded brick copings. The roofs are plaintiled, and there is a 19th-century coved plaster eaves cornice.

The building has two gabled casement dormers from the 19th century, and at the gable apexes on each end, there are pairs of 17th-century octagonal chimneys made of red brick. The rear range features a similar cluster of three chimneys. The farmhouse is two storeys high with attics and has a double-pile plan. It has three windows, with the third bay added to the right in the 19th century. The early 19th-century windows are small-pane sashes with side-lights, and those on the ground storey have segmental heads. The left-hand bay contains an 18th-century casement above and a late 20th-century replacement below. The entrance door, from the early 19th century, is a six-panelled design with fluted Roman Doric pilasters, panelled linings, and a triangular pediment.
