Description

Timbers is a mid-16th century house located on The Street in Woolpit. It is two storeys high and features three windows. The building has a timber-framed structure with the framing fully exposed and plaster infill panels. The first floor jetties out towards the street, supported by tension stud-braced studding and knee braces beneath the jetty. At the base, there is a tall 19th or 20th century tarred brick plinth. The roof is covered with plain tiles and has a red brick axial chimney. The windows are small-paned casements from the 20th century, with one featuring leaded lights. To the right, there is a late 20th century boarded and battened entrance door with a glazed panel, and to the left, a set of four boarded garage doors.
