Description
Hook Cottage is an early 19th-century house located in Princes Risborough, Ascott. The front is made of colourwashed dressed chalk blocks, while the left gable features colourwashed render, and the right gable and rear are constructed from flint and chalk rubble. The building has moulded eaves and a slate roof, with flanking brick chimneys. It is two storeys high and has two bays. The windows are 4-pane sashes with segmental heads. There is a later central porch that is rendered and colourwashed, featuring a flat roof and moulded eaves, with a blind window panel above the door. At the rear, there are 3-light casements, leaded on the first floor and wooden below, with flush chalk voussoirs, and a single casement above a central boarded door.
