Description
Wild Oak House is an early 19th-century house. It is built with a render finish, designed to resemble ashlar, with some areas roughcast and quoins. The roof is double-span, featuring asbestos slate on the front span and plain clay tile and slate on the rear spans, with brick stacks to the gable ends. The house has a parallel range plan.
The two-storey, three-bay facade features 16-pane sash windows with lintels incorporating keystones. Wrought iron supports are present for window boxes on the first floor of the outer bays. A central, flat-roofed wooden porch is set forward, with Doric columns and infilled returns which are roughcast. A rectangular light is above the inserted double doors, which are flanked by an inner double door with a fanlight. The interior has not been inspected. The ground floor window on the left has been altered by the external fixing of double glazing.
