Description
The Thatched Cottage is a cottage dating from the late 17th century to early 18th century, with alterations made in the mid-20th century. It features roughcast over brick and has a thatched roof that is hipped to the right, with brick stacks located at the left gable end. The original plan likely consisted of two cells, with an addition at the rear. The cottage is one and a half storeys high and has three bays. It includes 20th-century casement windows with three and four lights, eyebrow dormers that rise from the eaves, and ground floor two-light casements. The entrance is positioned between the first and second bays on the left, leading to a gabled thatched porch with a half-glazed door. Inside, there is a winder stair to the right of the fireplace at the left gable end, a lateral stack on the rear wall in the center, chamfered beams, and a collar beam roof.
