Description

Bird World Cottage is an early 18th-century building located on Chapel Street in West Wycombe. It is a single storey structure with a basement, constructed from flint rubble and featuring red brick dressings and end quoins. The roof is covered with old tiles. The north elevation has been recently rebuilt in red brick and includes a canted bay Neo-Georgian shop window. On the west side, there is one casement window and a loft door in the gable. The east side features grey headers and red stretchers, with floor bands and a casement window that has glazing bars under a cambered arch. The cottage is noted for its group value, as it is part of a group that includes Pound Cottage and Clerk of Works Cottage.
