Description
Number 2 High Street is a building dating from the late 17th century or early 18th century. It is constructed of red brick, which is now covered in a color wash, and features an old tiled roof. The building has two storeys and an attic, with one window on the ground floor, two on the first floor, and one in the attic. All windows are casements with glazing bars, with Yorkshire-style windows except for the attic. The entrance has a plain doorcase with a cambered relieving arch and a six-panel door, two of which are now glazed. There is a brick band on the first floor with cut brick modillions, and a plain band on the second floor. The gable end faces the street. This building is part of a group that includes adjoining outbuildings, several consecutive properties, The Swan Public House, West Wycombe Branch County Library, and The George and Dragon Inn, among others.
