Description

April Cottage, located at numbers 149 and 151 on the north side of Amersham High Street, dates to the 17th century. The building is constructed of flint rubble with red brick dressings. It has an old tiled roof with a central brick chimney stack, and two brick gables, each with a small casement window. The cottage is two storeys high with an attic. A decorative band runs along the first floor. The ground floor features two doors and two two-light casement windows, all set within cambered arches. Two further two-light casement windows are on the first floor, with their heads below a painted band marking the base of the gables.
