Description

Lincoln Cottage, located at 157 Amersham High Street, is a building that dates back to the 18th century but features a refronting of a late 16th or early 17th century timber-framed structure. It is constructed of red brick and has an old tile roof with a stack on the right side. The building stands two storeys high and includes a three-light square bay window and a four flush panel door on the left, both situated under a single cornice hood. On the right, there is a three-light casement window with a segmental arch above it. The first floor features two two-light casements with wooden lintels. At the rear, there is a wing with two uneven gables and old leaded windows. Inside, the cottage retains substantial timber framing and an old roof structure supported by curved windbraces.
