Description

These are three buildings on the south side of High Street, Amersham, dating from the 18th century, though they stand on an earlier building. The frontages are faced with chequer pattern brick on numbers 108 and 118, and red brick on number 120. The roof is tiled, continuing the line of number 106 to the east, and hipped to the west, with a wooden eaves cornice.

The buildings are two storeys high, with a first floor band on numbers 108 and 118, stepped up over a carriageway which has a segmental brick arch and gates. Number 108 features a central four-panel door with a bracketed hood, alongside two-light casement windows under flat arches. Two three-light casements are located on the first floor, each with a segmental arch. Number 118 has a half-glazed door and a modern casement window under a soldier course. Above is an early 18th century leaded cross mullioned and transomed window, and a small two-light leaded casement above the carriageway. Number 120 features a four-panel door on the left, a three-light leaded casement window on the right, and another leaded casement to the first floor, all three openings featuring segmental arches.
