Description
42 and 44 Botyl Road is a house dating from the 17th to 18th century, with significant alterations made in the 19th century. The right-hand bay features whitewashed roughcast over a timber frame and has a tiled roof with a half hip to the right. It is one storey high with an attic and includes a front 3-light casement window with 20th-century glazing, along with 20th-century extensions at the rear. The left-hand bays were remodeled in the mid-19th century and are constructed of whitewashed brick, with dentil eaves and an old tile roof. This section is two storeys tall and has three bays, featuring leaded casements with a 3-light window flanking a 2-light window, and a central gabled porch with a boarded door. Inside, there is a central wall with 17th-century close studding. The building is included for its group value.
