Description
This is a house dating from the 15th century, and it has been altered since then. It is timber-framed with brick infill, with the front whitewashed and the right gable rendered. The left gable reveals a cruck truss, and three other cruck trusses are visible inside the house. The roof is half-hipped and thatched. Brick chimneys are located between the right-hand bays and externally to the left gable. The house is one-and-a-half storeys high and consists of three bays. It has leaded casement windows: three-light to the ground floor of the left bays, two-light to the ground floor right, and a two-light window to the first floor in the centre of the thatched roof. A blocked doorway between the right bays has an arched timber head, and a board door is located between the left bays. This house possesses group value from its contribution to the street scene.
