Description

Quamby is a house that dates from the 16th to 17th century and was renovated in the 20th century. It has a timber frame with curved tension braces in the outer bays, whitewashed rendered infill, and a plinth. The roof is thatched, and there is an external brick chimney on the left side. The house is 1½ storeys high and consists of three bays. It features irregular wooden casements, with two on the first floor in the right-hand bays that are cut up into the thatch. The door in the right bay is sheltered by a 20th-century glazed porch that also has a thatched roof. There is a lean-to on the right side, and the panel below the central first-floor window has small close-set upright timbers.
