Description
The Stores is a house and shop dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble stone with a tiled roof and has flanking brick chimneys. The building is two storeys high and features three bays. The ground floor has 19th-century wooden casements, with the windows consisting of three-light units flanking a two-light unit, all set beneath timber lintels. The central entrance is a half-glazed door. To the left, there is a single-storey extension that is set back, while to the right, there is a late 19th to early 20th-century brick extension that includes a shop front on the gable end, a stores loft above, and a lean-to with a board door. The building also displays early 20th-century metal advertisements.
