Description

The Croft is a house dating from the 17th to early 18th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble stone with timber lintels over the openings, and has a thatched roof. The house originally comprised four irregular bays with a timber-framed and whitewashed brick extension to the left. A brick stack is located on the left gable, and another features a pilaster between the right-hand bays. The front facing southwest has barred sash windows to the ground floor outer bays, with paired casements in the centre bays. The first floor has two paired leaded casements within the thatch on the left side, and a paired metal casement with a tiled apron on the right side of the centre. A boarded door is set between the left-hand bays. The left-hand extension is timber framed, with whitewashed brick infill on the right and weatherboarding on the left, and is covered by a thatched roof with a central brick stack.
