Description
The Church of St Mary the Virgin features gates and gate-piers located about 20 metres west of the church, dating from the early 19th century. The gates are made of wrought and cast iron, and there is a wrought-iron lamp-bracket above them. The gate-piers are constructed from ashlar sandstone and include spear finials on the gate standards, which are interrupted by a mid-rail that has a circular motif. The piers also have a plinth, cornice, and ornamental capping.
