Description
This milestone, located on the east side of the lane approximately 30 metres south of Fairmile Beck, dates from the early 18th century. It is made of sandstone and stands about 40 centimetres high. The post features inscriptions on all four sides: the north side reads "Sedbergh / 2 Miles," the east side states "Kendal / 7 Miles," and both the south and west sides have the inscription "O[m?]on / 7 Miles," which likely represents an unidentified abbreviation. This milestone is similar to another milestone located opposite the junction with Slacks Lane.
