Description

Milestone from the 1870s, made of millstone grit and approximately 75 cm high with a round head. It features a bolted cast iron plate inscribed on the head with "SKIPTON AND CRACOE ROAD STIRTON WITH THORLBY" and on the angled faces, it states "SKIPTON" and "CRACOE" with distances of 2 miles and 4 miles respectively.
