Description
The drive gate piers located approximately 50 yards north of Flass House date from around 1850, coinciding with the rebuilding of the house for Wilkinson Dent. Each pier is made of hammer-dressed ashlar stone and stands on a plinth. They are square in shape and about 10 feet tall. The piers feature vertical recesses in the center of their faces and have a dentilled cornice at the flat top, which is adorned with a carved animal head.
