Description

Old Gang Peat Store is a peat store built in the late 18th century to early 19th century. It is constructed from limestone rubble and measures approximately 400 feet in length, featuring 39 bays. At the time of the last survey, the building was in a ruinous state, with only the gable end walls and tapering piers of the bay divisions still remaining. It is also designated as a Scheduled Ancient Monument, number 1227.
