Description
High Roof is a house dating from the early 18th century. It is constructed of coursed watershot rubble and features a stone slate roof. The building has two storeys and originally had three first floor windows, although the bay on the right is a 20th-century addition. The entrance consists of a boarded door set in an ashlar surround with interrupted jambs, positioned between the original two bays. The windows have chamfered ashlar surrounds and show signs of having iron bars on the outside face. The four-pane sash windows are slightly wider on the left side of the door. The right bay includes a garage door with a matching window surround made of cement above it. There is an end stack to the left of the building.
