Description
Glory Be and its attached outbuildings are a house and outbuildings dated 1705, with alterations made in the late 18th century. The structure is built of rubble and features a stone slate roof. The house has two storeys and consists of two bays. The central board door is framed by a quoined surround with a moulded arris, and it has two panels on the lintel inscribed with 'RF 1705' and 'EF IB'. The windows are adorned with raised ashlar stone surrounds that have straight tooling and imitation sashes with glazing bars. There is a fire window on the left with a chamfered stone surround and a weather course above it. A weather course is also present above the doorway on the first floor. The right side features an elaborately-shaped kneeler and ashlar coping, along with end stacks. At the rear, there is an added stair turret that projects outwards. The outbuilding to the left extends as an outshut, featuring a board door and a light vent at the front, with an 18th-century four-panel door and a small new window above on the right return.
