Description
Cantrells Barn is a building that serves as both a byre and a barn, constructed under one roof. It consists of two sections built in the 18th and 19th centuries. The structure is made of rubble with a stone slate roof and has two storeys.
The byre, located on the left, dates from the 18th century and features coursed watershot rubble with projecting through-stones and crude quoins. The ground floor includes an ashlar stone doorway and an unglazed window, while the first floor has four air vents. The barn on the right, built in the 19th century, is also made of rubble with crude quoins. Its ground floor has a doorway and an air vent, and the first floor contains two air vents. The building is included mainly for its group value context.
