Description
Staining Farmhouse and the attached byre date from the mid-18th century and are constructed under one roof. The building is made of coursed watershot rubble with a stone slate roof and stands two storeys high. The farmhouse consists of two bays and features quoins. The openings have ashlar surrounds, including a central 20th-century four-panel door framed with impost blocks. There are four-pane sash windows and end stacks. At the rear, there is an outshut that contains a timber staircase. The byre, added to the right, has two ground floor doorways and one first floor window. The overall structure includes kneelers and copings.
