Description

The George Washington Inn is a public house dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of pebbledashed rubble and has a slate roof. The building stands 2½ storeys tall and features four bays. All windows are sashed with glazing bars and have plain stone surrounds. There are three windows on the ground floor, along with a plain stone door surround that frames a door with nine raised and fielded panels located in Bay 3. The first floor has four windows, and there are attic windows in Bays 2 and 4. The building has chimneys on the gables and between Bays 1 and 2. At the rear, there are two gabled wings with windows that have plain reveals.
