Milestone. Mid to later C19. Cast-iron. Triangular shaft and flat-faced semicircular head, painted white; with raised lettering painted black: "SEDBERGH & HAWES / ROAD" on the head, "SEDBERGH / 3 MILES" on the left side, and "HAWES / 13 MILES" on the right. One of a series of 6 in this parish.
