Description
This is a barn located to the north of West Stonehouse Farmhouse, likely built in the 18th century and altered over time. It is constructed from coursed sandstone rubble and features a stone slate roof. The barn has a rectangular shape oriented along an east-west axis.
The south front of the barn includes two widely spaced square-headed doorways. The doorway on the right has a large monolith lintel, while to the left of this doorway, there is a flight of stone steps leading up to a loft doorway. Above and to the right of the left doorway, there is a loading door. The rear of the barn contains, among other features, a blocked chamfered one-light window.
The barn is part of a group with West Stonehouse Farmhouse, which is located approximately 5 meters to the south.
