Description

This is a parish boundary stone located 250 metres south of Cattrigg Force. It dates from the early 19th century and is made of slate. The stone is approximately 22 centimetres high, with its upper surface sloping from the top left to the bottom right. It is inscribed with the name "LANGCLIFFE." There was a corresponding stone for Stainforth, which is now missing.
