Description
The boundary stone west of Churn Milk Hole is an early 19th-century parish boundary marker. It is made of slate and stands approximately 65 centimeters high. The upper surface of the stone is angled from the top right to the bottom left and is inscribed with the word "STAINFORTH." This stone is located next to a basket-arched stone that is inscribed with "ARNCLIFFE," which belongs to the Halton Gill parish.
