Description

This is a parish boundary stone located on Moor Head Lane in Stainforth, dating from the early 19th century. It is made of slate and stands about 1 metre high. The upper surface is angled from the top right to the bottom left and is inscribed with the word "STAINFORTH." There is a similar boundary stone nearby in the Horton in Ribblesdale parish.
