Description

The gatepiers to the cemetery north of Cockpit Hill are likely from the 18th century and are constructed of ashlar stone. They feature square piers with chamfered rustication, a cornice, and an urn that has delicate gadrooning. These gatepiers were originally part of Town End House until 1949.
