Description

Nos. 17 and 19 Fairbank are a pair of houses dating from the early to mid-19th century, built in a Tudor Gothic style. No. 17 faces directly onto the street, while No. 19 fronts onto the forecourt of The Gables.

No. 17 has a four-bay facade, with the outer two bays projecting slightly and being gabled. The exterior is constructed of rubble stone and has a slate roof and one chimney. A plinth runs along the base. There are four windows, each with three lights, and each has a label with circular stops. A doorway is centrally located in the third bay, featuring a triangular head under a square label and a studded door made of stiles and planks.

No. 19 is pebbledashed and has a slate roof with two chimneys. It is arranged with three bays, and two ends projecting slightly and being gabled, mirroring No. 17. The windows and door are similar to those of No. 17, though the first-floor windows are of two lights.
