Description

This is a disused drainage windpump, dating from the 19th century. It is located in the Haddiscoe Chedgrave Marshes. The structure comprises a three-storey, circular tower built of battered, tarred brick. The first floor has openings with wooden shutters. A square-headed doorway is present on the west side, at ground floor level. The cap and sails were removed in the 20th century and replaced with a corrugated iron roof. A large diameter scoopwheel, constructed of iron and timber, is situated on the north side of the tower. The interior has not been inspected.
