Description
Six Mile House is a derelict windpump dating from the mid-19th century. It features a battered tarred brick tower that is circular in plan and stands four storeys tall. The north and south sides have segmental headed opposing doors, with one window opening above the north door, which is now blocked, and a blocked opening above the south door. There is a flue within the wall thickness on the east side. The structure retains remains of a wooden capframe, wind-shaft, and brakewheel, along with an octagonal wooden upright driveshaft that has a cast iron wallower.
