Description

Hobbs Mill is a late 19th-century trestle draining mill, restored in 1983. It is constructed of timber and features four cant posts that stand on brick piers, rising to a cap frame supported by cross members. The cap and fantail are weatherboarded and house all the machinery. The windshaft projects, but there are no stocks and sails. This mill powered a scoopwheel, which is currently under restoration, and is unique as the only trestle mill to do so.
