Description
The Brewery House is an early 19th-century house located on the west side of Twyford High Street. It is constructed of brick and features a slate roof. The building is two stories high with three wide bays and has a double pile layout, along with an added longer range at the rear. The front of the house has a central door that has been replaced by a 19th-century four-pane sash window from the 20th century. On either side of this, there are tall 16-pane sash windows with rubbed brick heads. On the first floor, there is a 12-pane sash window situated between two 16-pane sashes. The house has wide flat eaves supported by pairs of modillion brackets and a low pitch roof. There are external stacks at both ends, featuring rubbed brick arched panels on the sides. The interior retains early 19th-century features, including a 'renaissance' staircase.
